iPhone 16e
The essentials
- It can install iOS 27, the latest version.
- Before you pay: the seller signs out of iCloud in front of you.
What to check before you pay
Five minutes that save you a headache:
- Dial *#06#. The IMEI must match the one in Settings › General › About and on the box.
- Genuine parts: on that same screen, if the battery, display or a camera shows “Unknown”, that part isn’t a genuine Apple part.
- iCloud signed out and Find My iPhone off, in front of you. Otherwise the iPhone stays locked. Don’t buy a locked phone, not even at a discount.
- A grey image in full screen. If you see stains or the shadow of icons, the screen has burn-in.
- Battery: Settings › Battery › Battery Health. If it heats up or drains fast, plan on replacing it.
- A call, Wi-Fi, the cameras and charging.
